Registration is just a few days away! We are all working hard and very excited about this years' event!
As you can see we have a new beneficiary for this year. It is our rule to change beneficiaries each consecutive year. This year we have chosen another great local organization Burned Out Survivors' Fund. Please visit our beneficiary page for more information on this great organization. Also, same as last year, registration for the event is free. Based on last years expenses we are hoping though for an average of $20 donation per person to help cover costs. There will be a donation option during your online registration process. Keep checking back to this website for updates and information and we look forward to seeing you all very soon!

We are proud to announce that San Antonio 110 9/11 Memorial Climb is now officially an event of The Bernie Grace Foundation. The Bernie Grace Foundation was recently established with the primary purpose of assisting local groups, organizations, and events of the highest ethical standards, such as ourselves, to reach their goals. We are proud to be linked with this organization and look forward to our growth together. You may learn more about The Bernie Grace Foundation at: www.BernieGraceFoundation.org. Federal 501(c)3 status is underway which means we are that much closer to another goal. We appreciate your patience while we undergo this transition and look forward to providing you with many more benefits in the near future.
Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon. The San Antonio 110 9/11 Memorial Climb Committee On October 21st 2013 this years San Antonio 110 committee presented Bexar County Rehab with a proceeds check.
This first year it was important to us to offer this event to our city and brotherhood in a particular way. We worked from a zero dollar fund and also made it free to attend and participate in. We originally estimated about 300 people, being our first event and held on a weekday morning. We also anticipated being just able to fund the event, maybe even pocketing a little loss, as it would therefore be fully funded by donations and the generous support of services and goods from others. But just in case there was something left over we wanted a beneficiary to give 100% of our proceeds to. On the morning of September 11th we had about 800 people in attendance and approximately 600 participants. And on October 21st we finalized all the books and cut a proceeds check to Bexar County Rehab, our chosen 2013 beneficiary, for $9,603.67. What an accomplishment. We way exceeded what we ever could have anticipated. On so many levels. You all should be very proud. We thank you for your generous support of this event and look forward to planning another great one for next year, and every year ahead. How do I possibly put to words what occurred yesterday?...
It took an army of spirit and heart to do what we did, to bring together this event and create what was there. And that army was brought and brought STRONG! We are all still in a bit of shock and awe over it all. This was our very first year and it was AMAZING beyond words. We all hope this is an event that has filled your heart and that your memories of it leave you as in awe and with honor and pride. I was told by the "Tower" that in all the years they had worked there they had never been so proud before. It was so much work to pull it all together the way we did but we'd all do it wake up and do it all again tomorrow. I wish I could celebrate with each and every one of you. For what you've done, no matter if volunteering, or participating, or simply being our support, its been an honor to share this all with you and worthy of celebration. Every one should be very proud of what was accomplished. 343 fallen firefighter tags and 71 fallen law enforcement tags were carried. That bell beside the accountability boards was rung 414 times, an honor and tribute to each and every one of them. Our remembrance flag carries now the names of our fallen, all signed by those who carried their tag. Each and every aspect of this event was designed and laid out to pay tribute and respect for our fallen. And everyone who came out brought the spirit that carried that honor and fulfilled it. If that tower could talk, as tough as she is, she would for once be smiling down at every one with more pride within her walls than ever before. And every lost soul of 9/11 I know would look down at each and every one of you with love and thanks. I am in awe over what we did our very first year. See you again bright and early on September 11th, 2014. Much love.
