Beneficiary Donation

On October 21st 2013 this years San Antonio 110 committee presented Bexar County Rehab with a proceeds check.
This first year it was important to us to offer this event to our city and brotherhood in a particular way. We worked from a zero dollar fund and also made it free to attend and participate in. We originally estimated about 300 people, being our first event and held on a weekday morning. We also anticipated being just able to fund the event, maybe even pocketing a little loss, as it would therefore be fully funded by donations and the generous support of services and goods from others. But just in case there was something left over we wanted a beneficiary to give 100% of our proceeds to.
On the morning of September 11th we had about 800 people in attendance and approximately 600 participants. And on October 21st we finalized all the books and cut a proceeds check to Bexar County Rehab, our chosen 2013 beneficiary, for $9,603.67.
What an accomplishment. We way exceeded what we ever could have anticipated. On so many levels. You all should be very proud. We thank you for your generous support of this event and look forward to planning another great one for next year, and every year ahead.
