2022 San Antonio 110 9/11 Memorial Climb ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Hello All! We are squeezing MANY Announcements for our 2022 SA110 in this email. So please be sure to read them all! Registration is extended and STILL OPEN! Remaining spots are open to ALL... Firefighters, Law Enforcement, EMS, Military AND Civilian! And for you first responders, YES you may still get a tribute tag! Registrants get moved up the list as cancellations come through. And also on event day you can return to the check-in tables at about 715am and pick up one of the "no-show" tags (there are always a few!) Use code 10YEAR for $10 off or SECRET$20 for $20 off remaining spots (while lasts for each code, and as we are 100% funded by registrations and donations and STILL 100% Volunteer run, we appreciate all those who have registered thus far! It takes a village, and every single individual, to pull off an event of this magnitude each year as we do, all thanks to your support!) IMPORTANT! TEN YEAR PARTICIPANT LIST! If you are a ten year participant, this being your 10th SA110 (including remaining with us during our 2020 Covid Virtual event year), we want to know and show our appreciation! Please email [email protected] with your name, category (firefighter, civilian, etc), and inform to add you to the TEN YEAR PARTICIPANT list! Please spread the word on this to anyone else who you may know who has done so as well! We would like to have a full list by end of week, Sept 26th! (just to make sure it goes through you can also include [email protected] AND THANK YOU!!! If you missed out on last year's 2021 9/11 20th Anniversary Collector Challenge Coin... Last year as a thank you for continuing to pay tribute to our fallen with SA110 we gifted our tribute climbers that day with a (super awesome quality) special 20th anniversary coin. A special free thank you gift we had special made just for our participants paying tribute with us. Unfortunately we had many who missed out on that. But no worries!... Because we will have our remaining coins for sale at this years event! And even a special "combo" pricing when purchasing with our shirt! Along with some other great items as well possibly. While supplies last so be sure to get them fast! Sponsorship deadlines are approaching! Sponsorships can be received all the way up to Sept 1st however to receive full Silver or Gold BENEFITS (banners, T-shirts), we need to at least receive email confirmation and logos ASAP. Also, new benefits for ALL sponsorship levels: Cards may be placed in all participant packets and also you may "set up" a table/tent/etc at our Afterparty event held at Alamo Beer immediately following the climb. Speaking of... Don't miss our annual After party! Once again held at Alamo Beer immediately following the climb. We will also again have our annual pint glasses with this year's 2022 design on it available there. Find our afterparty event on FB to get all the details we will post there soon. We have live music, great beer and wine specials, food trucks, really cool raffle items (including a custom Axe by MV Fire) and lots of other great things included to celebrate the success of our 10th year of SA110! Practice Climbs are open at the Tower! Same rules apply as prior years... Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-3pm. Closes at end of month (no climbs Sept 1st on). First responder SA110 registered participants only. Must sign in at desk and may be asked for proof of registration for this year's SA110 as well as proof of profession. Above all, remember that this is a PRIVILEGE granted to us by the tower, not a RIGHT... Please be courteous to all Tower staff! (We owe them a lot for all they do for us!). Unfortunately it must be stated that breaking of any rules may ban you from the Tower and therefore SA110. Tower has the right to refuse access as they need.) HOTEL DISCOUNT! Once again Hilton Palacio Del Rio is offering discounted rates for our SA110 participants for 9/10 - 9/12. On the river and walking distance from the event, can walk through Hemisfair Park (across the street from hotel) right to the Tower. See email for booking link. LODD Tributes: If there are any Texas LODD (line of duty deaths) that would like to be paid tribute to on our honor board during opening ceremony please visit our website documents page and download our LODD tribute request ASAP! We appreciate EVERY dollar! Fundraising options: We have been so busy we didnt get to set up our fundraising platform yet for individual fundraisers. We will try to do so soon and send an email and post on FB if/when we do! Of course any type of fundraising is greatly appreciated! Feel free to set up your own fundraisers (other climbs raise $/floor or step... there are 910 steps per tower climb, we do two). Many platforms are available online. And also we accept donations directly through our website via our "donate" link and have your donors mention your name. Also, we haven't had any donation checks on event day in years like we used to. Agencies or individuals can do their own fundraising and simply bring us a check on event day, dropping it off and the T-shirt/donation table! As always, top individual fundraiser and top fundraising agency/department will get a big shout out on event day and on social media and special Thank You package mailed out to them post event! If you'd like, and to help, email in your total fundraised donation amount by 9/10 to [email protected] AND THANK YOU!!!! We are still fully funded by donations and 100% volunteer run. That's an amazing accomplishment, especially for an event of our magnitude, and speaks volumes of you all! If you didn't catch our post.. This year's beneficiary is UTHEALTH HEROES Program. This program offers mental health support for our first responders. Including resources and even paid appointments for counseling and psychiatric care. We are very honored to help them.
